Birthday Preparations

Its been a busy week over here at Sixty Fifth Avenue. We celebrated my Birthday Wednesday and we are having an ice cream social for the little ones Birthday this weekend. I can't believe she is going to be four! Is it weird that my husband and I still refer to her as the baby? We do it all the time.

Next in line are Grandma and my husband. I think its funny that no matter how simple something seems it always gets a bit crazy. But in the end it always comes together.

I hope you have a great weekend!

  1. Happy Birthday to you and to the little one! Can I come? An ice cream social is right up my alley and I know it will be the cutest one with you in charge! I hope that you post pics of it. How fun! They are always your baby though. Drives my oldest one crazy that I still call her my baby. She is turning 14 next week. I love to drop her off at school, get out of the car in my powder puff girl jammies and yell "Bye baby! Mommy loves you!"

  2. Happy Birthday to all Londen. An ice cream social...how fun. I'm dreading my little one's first birthday because I know how fast it goes, my oldest will be 20 in two months.

  6. It is funny that you refer to your child of 4 years as a "baby". My daughter is 11 and we still do it! She hates it of course. We still have all the nicknames that we gave her when she was born..."bubbles and bubba". Your daughter is still so little! Let me tell you, I wish for those years! Hold on tight because it goes by in a flash and then your daughter will be so grown up. You will be wondering what happened!

I know you are running around and busy (birthday plans). Really stop and just enjoy that age! Take lots of video too!

    Have fun....Happy Birthday little one!

I just wanted to say that you for visiting my blog and leaving your kind words in the comment section. Yes, being a mother is hard, whether we have one or many, but His grace is enough!

  20. Happy belated birthday!! I'm kind of jealous about the ice cream social. That sounds like a fabulous time to me!

My mother-in-law calls my husband and his friends 'little boys and girls' and he's 30 and I'm 26. So, I'm sure your little one will always be your baby! :)

  21. Sometimes, I get so caught up in the details of parties, celebrations and gifts. With a birthday party to plan for my daughter (nine!?!) less than 2 weeks away, thanks for the reminder that in the end, things will come together! Marija
